AMZN

I had a tight stop on my AMZN swing trade today, it got hit at 212.90. I find hard stops always get hit. I don't recall when this was from but I took it for +10.81 points and $5,395.

So that ends August at $16,354, nice.

CMG

I traded CMG today, long at 307.05 and sold near the end of the day at 312.65 for +5.58. I also sold my AAPL at 317 from Thursday, not very many shares for +17.71. Total for the day $1030

Last week when the market tanked I had a margin call or two so I sold my AAPL at a loss -$5113

SODA

I added to my SODA trade yesterday at 36.39, now it needs to get above 37.

I have wanted a SODA machine for a while now. I never get to BBBY or London Drugs of late, and I am tired of waiting for it to show up in COST, so I am ordering one online today.

I am ordering the machine, which they sell as a Starter Kit, which comes with the Carbonator (consumable) a bottle and the machine. They are giving away a Passion Fruit & Mango Mix (consumable) with the kit. I am adding two extra clear bottles so I can keep them loaded or ready in the fridge. I am ordering the Cola mix, Orange Grapefruit mix and RootBeer mix. I think my kids and I are going to love this machine!!

Not so fast.... once I got to the checkout area they want $57 for shipping. On a $200 order, that is pretty steep in my books. I cancelled my order. I will wait till I see it in the stores one day.

NFLX

NFLX is acting well. I was short and then I was not, missing the 2-3 day breakdown of 30+ points. So now I am hoping it goes back up maybe half of those 30 points and then will look for a new short entry. Course I have a few margin calls to answer first!!

NFLX

Woops, I covered NFLX today as I needed to raise some cash, turns out I should have held on for more, oh well, that happens some time. I hope to get back in short asap, we shall see, maybe it will bounce some here.

Covered at 236.74 for +3.55 points, it went down to 228 today. $700 for me, left $1600 in a perfect world.

SODA

I am going to start building a long position in SODA asap, it needs to start moving up a bit first. And if I can, (need to get rid of some stuff) short more NFLX as it breaks downs.

MA

I went long MA at 331.52 this am for a trade and got out at 335.72 for +4. I sold SODA today for +1.36 this was from last week. So far today +$936

I started a new position short NFLX today at 241 and 240, trying for longer term. Once the HULU news comes out I think NFLX will sink a little.

SODA

Picked up a few SODA today near the bottom, if it goes down more I may add depending on how much and far it falls. If it goes up, I will def add more.

I traded HANS for +1 today, it went higher later. Have not traded HANS for a long time now, but looking at it again looks good.

SINA acted well today as did most names.

NFLX went higher today which is perfect, maybe just a bit higher is needed to start a new short position unless it breaks 240 again soon.

SINA

I added some to my SINA position today, I think SINA is the place to be going forward and I think earnings will do well. I also picked up some AMZN today, it fell from there, I hope to hold it for a while though.

Trading

Felt like I was day trading today. I went long NFLX, I shorted NFLX, rinse and repeat. Usually I was good for 2 points either way. So +$2167 today, nice.

Covered NFLX

I had to go out today, NFLX tanked, well everything tanked, so I bumped my stop on my short NFLX and of course was taken out at 230 missing a low of 223. I am hoping we rebound soon and then I can get a new entry short on NFLX. +$14,200 for me, sweet.

Netflix to 50

Netflix is going to 50 or less, if you are not short for the ride, the whole ride, you may just miss it. It won't be easy, but it will happen. Let's review Netflix at least for the longs, cause they are part of this too, I expect them to buy the dips all the way down.

Netflix has lousy customer service, a horrible unfriendly interface, streaming content and quality sucks, not sure why people put up with it, audio problems, un-captioned content,  mislabeled videos, defective discs, disc wait times, possible slow disc service for heavy users, two price increases in 8 months, so many unfilled promises, ignoring customers, Starz contract problems, removal of avatars, member reviews, nicknames, bios, friends feature, advertising spending to keep up with churn, very aggressive accounting, aggressive insider scheduled selling, riding the backs of network providers, competition, huge competition, expansion to rectify churn, rinse repeat, screwing with low vol users forcing them to choose a plan, loss of goodwill for all of the above.

JULY 2011

I sold PCLN on Friday to end the month of July nicely, except PCLN is up 14 points this am, woops. I still hold a wack of other names though.

My total for July is $13,722 which is awesome.
